NEW REBEL GROUP EMERGING IN YEI LED BY A WOMAN

Juba, 30 December 2018; During the weekly military briefing in capital Juba, South Sudan Military chief of staff Lt General Gabriel Jok Riak, the Chief of Defense Forces deplored and said there is new rebellious emerging in Yei River state and the unknown rebel group is led by a woman.

“Another group is emerging under certain lady not yet confirmed, and now the lady is claiming leadership and they have divided forces between themselves,” General Riak said without giving details.

He further alarmed the attendance by saying, "the situation in Yei is alarming, the population is crying,”

According to General Riak, there have been clashes on Saturday in and around Yei Town and he blamed the clashes on the new rebellious and General Thomas Cirilo NAS group.

However, Joshua Nyoke, a political analyst said, it looks like Juba is trying to justify its position to lunch a war on general Cirilo forces in pretext of the birth of new rebellious, which when is done will justify Juba's position because the now so-called "new rebel group" led by a woman is not signatory to Khartoum  declaration of cease-fire, this will enable Juba to justify itself in the face of the international community while the actual goal is to attack forces of General Cirilo which refuses to sign the Khartoum deal because it did not address the root causes of the nations catastrophic ill.
